April... wow

So, it seems that the weather the first 2 days of April were saying a big f*** you to me.  On April 1st, it decided to snow about an inch.  Then on the 2nd as I was down in DC to see the cherry blossoms, the weather decided it would be a good time to hail.  Some hail hit me in the face as we were trying to find cover and food.

Luckily on saturday (after the hail) the weather turned out to be decent.  We were able to walk around the tidal basin and all the trees were beautiful.  We also went to the american history museum for a little bit.  It was very different from before the renovation.  I really liked most of the upgrades.  I'm not going to lie I was disappointed by the pop culture section.  Most of it was locked away.. :(

For dinner we went to this Moroccan Restaurant with 7 courses and a belly dancer.  It was great and I ate way too much.  On Saturday I went to brunch with my parents for my birthday.  We went to a wine bar where you can try samples of wine basically from a tap.  It was neat.  After that I got a new camera.  I can't wait to use it.  They also got me a turntable so I can play records.  I had asked for it because I think it is cool to play some things on old records.  Makes me more relaxed.  It would have been good to have walking around the cherry blossom festival.

So all around it was a good weekend.
